seven sorrows and seven funerals(Arnold Melleby, 04.09.22)

like a lioness

years past her prime

gazing over the fields

she used to rule

reminiscing

the dust

the blistering heat

the love from a mother

the hopes that never got burried

and always in sight to make you remember

you never let go

and stood tall

even when lying down

like a lioness

years past her prime

gazing over the fields

she used to rule

reminiscing

there was a time

there was a place

for everything

for ends to meet

for headlines and deadlines

and the whales to travel

across seven oceans to give birth

like a lioness

years past her prime

gazing over the fields

she used to rule

reminiscing

she can no longer feel

she can no longer feel

that she can break the spell

the spell that once gave the key

and the answer to the never ending question

when is her life going to end in death

when will she take my very last breath

untill the chimes sound the call of the wild in her still roams

like a lioness

years past her prime

gazing over the fields

she used to rule

reminiscing

one last time

making love

like lions

making love

like lions

seven sorrows and seven funerals

seven sorrows and seven funerals

seven sorrows and seven funerals

the lioness weeps

climbs up in a tree

and stays

and stays

and stays

seven sorrows and seven funerals

...to be continued
