the lone wolf(Arnold Melleby, 02.02.2016)
the masquerade is fading out
people are heading in various directions
he´s watching it from afar
protected by a willow in it´s prime
never given a home for his heart
never given a chance to love
never saw his loved one in her eyes
she´s leaving the masquerade, as well
can´t you tell
he´ll never brake the spell
he´ll never have the story to tell
the one that lives on in his heart
the lone wolf will drown alone
teardrops outdo the drops of rain
taking his last breath of air
in a river of pain
slowly submerging
into the darkest coldness
the lone wolf
is drowning
the lone wolf
is slowly dying
now, his heart´s ocean-bound
his dreams are back in mother nature´s arms
his lifeless body tumbled around and around
until it hits the ocean floor
he fills his grave well
in the silence of the deep
forever asleep
steel blue eyes staring up towards the sun
many full moons pass the surface
sediments from the river
soon cover what´s left of his earthly body
ashes to ashes, dust to dust
the lone wolf will drown alone
teardrops outdo the drops of rain
taking his last breath of air
in a river of pain
slowly submerging
into the darkest coldness
the lone wolf
is drowning
the lone wolf
is slowly dying
