Southern belle(Arnold Melleby, 01.18.2017)

I´m here
and you`re not
although I´m looking you
straight into your eyes
so blue after your red eye flight

you came to catch me
shed my skin
I wanted to keep it, though
but now you seem to carry it
like a trophy around your back

a Southern belle
what the hell
what happened to that rebel yell
I guess you didn`t ring loud enough
no echoe in my head
nothing to resemble a good reason
to get up and get moving
a Southern belle
what the hell
a Southern belle
what the hell
time to break the spell

the wings of nothingness
created a butterfly
then you flew out in the wilderness
to fill a space
you never knew existed

shed some more skin
and I´ll show you how
to keep the flow
shed even more
and I´ll get you a halo

a Southern belle
what the hell
what happened to that rebel yell
I guess you didn`t ring loud enough
no echoe in my head
nothing to resemble a good reason
to get up and get moving
a Southern belle
what the hell
a Southern belle
what the hell
time to break the spell

my Southern belle
