triumphant departure(Arnold Melleby, 04.13.2018)

a hollow soul
afraid of growing old
united with a past
we all knew wouldn`t last

but
don`t worry if you spilled it
the drink`s on me
you got me stoned
and I got you high
then there were shadows
this is how I discribe them

can I sit by your side
`cause, I`ve got nowhere else to hide
looking at you
the only thing that comes to my mind
is my triumphant departure
you must have been
one of natures biggest blunders
my triumhant departure
is my rebel yell

immaculately stoned
but still hiding your head
deep beaneath the ground
but, of course, anything can happen
on a narly tuesday
I`m still waiting
for that particular ray to strike
and when a no turns into a yes
you`ll need to confess
this love has travelled
down a gravel road
to find the code
to find you

I still fade away
I still fade away
I still fade away

listen to the voice
of the one that cut off the heads
and yes, the balled one too
yooh-hooh-hooh-hooh
yooh-hooh-hooh-hooh
yooh-hooh-hooh-hooh
you`been left behind
I`ve sent an evil kiss of death
giving my wings air to fly
right into the arms of yours

I still fade away
I still fade away
I still fade away

can I sit by your side
`cause, I`ve got nowhere else to hide
looking at you
the only thing that comes to my mind
is my triumphant departure
you must have been
one of natures biggest blunders
my triumhant departure
is my rebel yell

I`ll still remember the day
when st. peter called his name
and he declined to reply

I still fade away
I still fade away
I still fade away

I still have step in heaven
and an arm around you
