I stole a kiss(Arnold Melleby, 09.07.2018)

just like Madame Lazarene
holding her cards
close to her chest
in her foreverlasting quest
of claiming land
from the sea

a dying ember
resembling an important part
of you
your soul
what else could be
more real

although your eyes
are not welcome
anywhere around here
due to the fact
of what they are capable
of seeing

but, please sai hi
from the other side
you press the pedal
and there`s a red light
lighting up your tail
giving away
your trail

I stole a kiss
and left her
I flew away
just like the butterflies
in her eyes
I stole a kiss
and left her
to die

dearest feathers of mine
all the angels
seem to have flown away
as well
what do you say
now, that they`re all gone

there`s no way in hell
you`re going to heaven
bt your smile
I`ll carry with me
although your way of life
is killing me

or is this the perfect opportunity
to actually grow up and stop pretending
that I`ll never grow old
what have I done not to deserve this
come shame and ruthless judgement
but I blushed first

I stole a kiss
and left her
I flew away
just like the butterflies
in her eyes
I stole a kiss
and left her
to die

love always seem to lie low
whenever I`m around
only as a deeply hidden lie
it comes out
only to haunt me
forever more

I stole a kiss
and left her
I flew away
just like the butterflies
in her eyes
I stole a kiss
and left her
to die

time`s not standing still
I do
