sleep on, sleep on(Arnold Melleby, 11.07.2024)

all you ever wanted to be

was to remain a lost case

while your heart was crying tears

it never had

drained by an unforgiving drought

for all but love

the last color on your canvas

has dried and reveals the context

of something complexed

but yet as simple as the easiest mathematical problem

if you`re not seen

one and one won`t equal two

sleep on

sleep on

let the wings of forever

take you to a much better place

sleep on

sleep on

sleep on beautiful

may the butterflies lead you home

a promissory note written on your life

to take you out of the raving fires

raging your mind, body an precious soul

never set you free and just made it worse

time upon time the light came and the left

until the light never shone again

sleep on

sleep on

let the wings of forever

take you to a much better place

sleep on

sleep on

sleep on beautiful

may the butterflies lead you home

sleep on

sleep on

let the wings of forever

take you to a much better place

sleep on

sleep on

sleep on beautiful

may the butterflies lead you home

sleep on

sleep on

here`s to the day

we`ll meet again
